Uzbekistan continues its path toward green transformation — with a focus on technology, sustainability, and economic efficiency

Seminar on "Green Technologies as a Driver of Economic Sustainability and Growth" Held in Bukhara

The event was organized with the coordination of the Project Offices Management Department based in Tashkent and with the active participation of the regional division team under “Bukharaexpertiza” JSC. Preparations for the seminar began in March of this year, and it was successfully concluded on May 28, 2025. In this process, the invaluable support of Saidkarim Saidakhmatovich Mahmudov, Chairman of “Uzbekexpertiza” JSC and a PhD in Economics, played a decisive role. He is widely recognized as a leader who consistently promotes progressive and scientifically grounded approaches.

The seminar was attended by representatives of farming enterprises, agro-industrial and poultry companies, greenhouse sectors, and specialized organizations operating in Bukhara region. Organizations interested in implementing biotechnologies in practice also took active part in the discussions. The main topic of the event was the integration of bioenergy solutions into the agricultural and industrial infrastructure.

The keynote speaker of the seminar was Dr. Shavkat Jakhanovich Imomov, Doctor of Technical Sciences and Professor. He presented a scientifically grounded model for energy recuperation that enables up to 50% independence from traditional energy sources. A biogas plant project developed on the basis of his research and implemented in the Qorovulbozor district was recognized as a successful practical case.

The seminar served as an effective platform for strengthening dialogue between entrepreneurs, the scientific community, and institutional structures. Participants unanimously agreed on the importance of continuing such a dialogue format in other regions as well.
