Representatives of Uzbekexpertiza JSC are actively participating in a three-day seminar on “International practice in the application of rules of origin of goods”, organized by the International Trade Centre within the framework of the European Union project “Support for Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization”.

The seminar is being held on September 17–19 at the building of the State Customs Committee in Tashkent. The sessions are conducted by international expert with many years of experience, Marta Ledvos.

The program covers the following topics: • rules of origin of goods and the WTO; • practice of applying rules in free trade agreements, as well as the European Union’s experience with the REX system; •кinternational best practices in implementing rules of origin, and other related issues.

The seminar is attended by specialists from the State Customs Committee, Uzbekexpertiza JSC, as well as relevant ministries and agencies. The training sessions will continue until September 19.
